Slide 2i and 2ii: Christ's obedience springs from his intimate relationship with his heavenly parent. Eve and Adam were tempted to question God's command and caused to doubt his loving provision and relationship with them Slide 3i and 3ii: Jesus' prayer focuses on God and his power. Eve and Adam focus on themselves and their desire for autonomy. Slide 4i and 4ii: Facing the suffering (cup) that God has called him to, Christ pours out his heart to God. Adam and Eve when faced with temptation turn from God. Slide 5i and 5ii: Jesus puts aside his desire to escape his suffering and trustfully surrenders to God's will. Eve and now Adam surrender to their temptations and disobey God's revealed will to them. Slide 6i and 6ii: Christ's obedience enabled reconcilliation with God.
